Who the fuck are The Hippy Mafia?
The Hippy Mafia is the collaboration of four individuals from four music genres hailing from Manchester UK and Ontario Canada.
These characters are as follows:
Castro – Psychedilic, Conspiracy Theorist, Singer |
Dain-Jah – Hip Hop, Social Conscious Poet, Singer/Rapper |
Ooblo33 – Electronica, Minimalist Artist, Guitar/Soundscapes |
Shamroc – Indie dance, Cynical, DJ/Drummer |
The faceless four create a sound described by reviewers thus:

You think you parents are your parents, right? You believe what you see is reality, right? You accept the history and the education you have received as truth yeah? But somehow, somewhere, deep inside, you feel there must be more, much more.
Something doesn’t add up? Something doesn’t feel right, there must be more to this than working for the MAN right? More than just being a number, more, more than THIS?. “Many years ago, new and exciting technologies looked to change the world as it was known. The future looked bright and optimism was in the air. The first of these new technologies was Teleportation and although this took many, many years of experimentation and hundreds of human lives, the process was finally mastered and looked to change civilisation as it was known.
Interestingly and simultaneously, the banking system of the time had collapsed; a dark depression had fallen on the planet and the consciousness of the people was low. This paved the way for a previously un-known conglomerate known only as, The Future Tech Corporation; to purchase this government funded technology, and the other breakthroughs of science in exchange for cash and power.
Life continued unchanged for many years and the dreams of the pre gene pool generation collapsed under the weight of the new corporation. The first abuse of this new found power was to create, a DNA data base of all humans, under the guise of improving the health, safety and equality of all. This was universally popular in light of the perceived banking collapse and escalating threats of terrorism around the globe”
